Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Ishan Sharma, operating as Mirelle (d/b/a flek.ai) ("Mirelle," "we," "us," or "our") handles your information when you use the Mac Storage Clear application ("the App") and our website at mac-storage-clear.flek.ai (collectively, the "Service").

The short version: Mac Storage Clear is a fully local desktop application. It does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on our servers. We have no servers.

Information We Do Not Collect

The App does not collect, transmit, or share any of the following with us or any third party:

• Personal identifiers (name, email, phone number, account ID)
• File contents, file names, or file paths from your disk
• Scan results, deletion history, or quarantine contents
• Device identifiers (UDID, MAC address, advertising identifier)
• IP address, location, or network information
• Usage analytics, crash reports (beyond Apple-provided ones), or telemetry
• Any information from third-party SDKs (we ship none)

Data That Stays on Your Mac

The App necessarily reads file metadata (sizes, timestamps, names, paths) to perform its function. This information never leaves your Mac. Specifically:

• Scan results are stored in a local SQLite database under ~/Library/Application Support/Mac Storage Clear/
• Quarantined files are moved (not copied) to ~/Library/Application Support/Mac Storage Clear/quarantine/
• Theme, layout, and scan preferences are stored in macOS user defaults

Apple-Provided Information

If you obtained the App from the Mac App Store, Apple may provide us aggregate, anonymized information about installs, ratings, and territory of purchase, governed by Apple's own privacy practices. We do not receive any individually identifiable information about you from Apple. Apple's standard Mac App Store privacy practices apply: see Apple's Privacy Policy.

If you choose to send a crash report through Apple's crash reporting system, that report goes to Apple under Apple's policies. We can view aggregated, anonymized crash data in App Store Connect, which we use solely to fix bugs.

Children

The App is rated 4+ in the Mac App Store. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, because we do not collect personal information at all.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be announced via the project GitHub repository and the App Store release notes.
